[NOMS & OOTD] Sake Bar Restaurant

Last night, my bestie Jasmine and I visited a Japanese restaurant named Sake Bar Restaurant which opened sometime at the end of last year (2011) as I read from another blog. My bestie had tried this restaurant three times and now her forth with me (she claims its a yum place and so my expectation is set on high!) and did it do me justice :) (even though it was a bit more expensive that I thought it would/should be) but before I start reviewing on them, as usual here comes the photos!

cute interior making you feel like you're in Japan

Nama something - 4 pieces for $12

Aburi Sushi 6 pieces for $19

Tasting Bridge

with my beautiful bestie :3

DRINKS:
LLB: taste like every other LLB, didn't feel like drinking ocha that night, oh how strange of me but once in a while it's ok right :3

straight to mains! though the food came by one by one..

MAIN:
Nama something: it was something like deep fried cold fish, soaked in sauce so it wasn't crispy anymore? the flavour was quite unique to try but I don't think I'll order it again just cause it was quite odd (12$ 4 piece)

Aburi Sushi: It was blow torched salmon on one side with fish eggs and wasabi sauce on top. I think they use real wasabi, because I got rid most of the wasabi on the salmon (cause I don't like wasabi) I can still taste a strong taste of it, which I guess for wasabi lovers is pleasing to know (19$ 6 piece)

Tasting Bridge: A variety of fresh cut sashimi's like salmon, tuna, scallops, oysters, wagyu tataki, 5x sushi rolls and 5x ermm.. what you call those other sushi's again? the one with rice at the bottom and the fish goodness on the top?
But anyway, this was most definitely a good choice. You get a variety of sashimi's to try and best of all they are all super fresh! so delicious! and not to mention the 'plate' of this dish was a bridge! how adorable is it! very eye-catchy and of course make people want to try the food ;) like hitting two birds with one stone, good form of advertisement haha :p

Recommendation: most definately the tasting bridge, you get to try a little bit of every fresh sashimi
OH! and I totally forgot to order the salmon misoyaki! :( I wanted to compare it to Nobu's black cod misoyaki cause that one is one of my favourite dish at Nobu :) so next time I visit Sake Bar will try it out ^^

Overall:
4.5/5 interior
4/5 service
4.5/5 food
3.5/5 price

After we decided to go to San Churros for dessert yummm <3 and bumped into Shannon and our old friend Kai who we haven't seen for about 4.5 years! Good catch up session :)

Dessert:
Churros for two: for the chocolate we got our favourite caramel sauce and another (which I think is new) white chocolate mixed with strawberry cream. I totally love the new flavour, reminds me of my childhood memories but it still doesn't beat my love for the caramel sauce

Avellana (Hazelnut): I've been having a really bad sweet tooth lately where all I want to do is eat and drink sweets! ><" so bad for my healthy, but cravings must be satisfied so here I ordered Avellana, chocolatey goodness with a hint of hazelnut flavour yumm.. just like ferrero rochere <3

Overall:
4.5/5 interior
5/5 service
5/5 food
4/5 price
