Here we go again! My lunch date with one of my bestfriend :)
I saw this place in October of 2011 and had been wanting to try this place for ages as the interior looks so pretty and classy. I've been busy going back to my home town for the Holiday and other stuff going on and finally 6 months later had the chance to finally try it!
Ready for the photo bom? Here it is! *picture heavy*
Lets start with the interior!
my pretty bestie :)
we ordered the lunch deal with different courses to try their variety of foods
House Wine - Shiraz
T: Pan-fried duo of Chorizo, lime
B: Grilled Manchego Polenta, peperonata
L: Prawn, chilli, tomato, basil, rocket, linguini, extra virgin olive oil
R: Pan Fried Market Fish, citrus butter, salad
Fresh Strawberries, chocolate fondue, brandy snap basket, strawberry granita $11.00
a collaboration of my last couple of shopping spree :)
everything is from forever new other than the earrings that says dotti
House Wine: We had a choice of white or red and had chosen the red. No idea which brand it was but it was quite good as I'm not really big into wines other than dessert wines
Pan-fried duo of Chorizo, lime: taste like every other Chorizo so nothing special but still good :) added with squeezed lime adds a fresh and another flavour to it
Grilled Manchego Polenta, peperonata: polenta is white/yellow ground cornmeal and since the dish that came out was yellow, I'm guessing they used the yellow one. It taste really unique but in a good way, the texture was soft and hmm.. I really don't know how to describe it! ><" but I can tell you, you won't regret it if you try it! :D
Pan Fried Market Fish, citrus butter, salad: Fish for the day was Ocean Trout, the fish was super fresh, it was cooked perfectly and the skin was crispy! yummyyyy.. just how I like it! crispy and not soggy! ^^ very flavourful thanks to the sauce which I think is made from butter and lime? not so sure.. tasted like that to me anyway~ hehe and accompanied with it was sea salt rockets on the side
Prawn, chilli, tomato, basil, rocket, linguini, extra virgin olive oil: pasta was cooked nicely and prawn was not overcooked so its not tough to eat, a bit plain for me.. could use a little bit more sauce or seasalt.. but overall it was good
Fresh Strawberries, chocolate fondue, brandy snap basket, strawberry granita: I have to say that this dessert was soooo freaking delicious! the strawberries was really fresh and sweet, dipped with melted chocolate yum! and of course the icey strawberry in the glass was very refreshing too, sweetness of choc&strawberry and citrusness of ice strawberry balances the overall sweetness of the strawberry dipped in choc. I would MOST definitely come back here again to eat and of course for this dessert!!
Recommendation: If you happen to pop by this place, out of all the food I've tried (so far) I recommened the Polenta (entree), Fish (mains) and Strawberry Board (dessert)
hopefully next time I visit it'll live up to the standard I currently have. If you have any question or anything just comment on this post :)
until next time :)
oh ps. I'm thinking of doing a small giveaway in celebration to my 1 year anniversary of the blog, was looking through the old post and totally forgot it's been a year since then, better late then never right? :) just need to collect items for the giveaway hmm....
