[NOMS] Skye

Hello my dear readers! :)

So sorry for the lack of post since forever! I've been hibernating in my cozy cave hehe I'll try to blog more often this year as one of my new years resolution. Before I write a second review on Skye, I would like to say HAPPY NEW YEARS 2013! I know I'm more than 3 weeks late but better than nothing right? :p

Skye is one of my favourite place to dine at in Jakarta either for lunch, dinner or just catch up drinks. You can read my very first post on Skye here.

I've been here a couple of times and they seem to have not have disappoint me. OK.. I lied a little there.. just a bit disappointed because they ran out of drinks during one of my visit, but not to worry! Lucky they had my Sangria :) yum!

We came here in a group of 5 and where seated next to the window of the 56th floor at Menara BCA. Couldn't ask for a better sitting spot to enjoy the night and catch up with old friends.

Food:

3 of us ordered the Steak, 1 ordered Pork Ribs and 1 ordered Paella.

The Steak and Ribs is one of my must order on their menu as it is cooked to perfection (during three of my experiences) and are seasoned well. Though the consistency of the portion tends to vary. The ribs is crispy on the outside whilst it still contains its moisture inside with enough barbeque sauce coated over. 

I asked for my steak to be cooked at medium well which is what I got, very happy! Why you ask I'm happy? because some other restaurants when you ask for medium well would cook your steak to well done.. sometimes I wonder if they know what it even means =/ Anyway, LOVE the steak! Juicey and awesome hehehe. The only one thing I wish they would add to the menu is to provide ribs and steak on one plate so I can eat both instead of choosing which one I would want to eat for the night :p

Drinks:

Sangria an alcoholic drink which consist of red wine mixed with fresh fruits; this drink is sweet and bitter at the same time :) Good for a long night out to catch up with friends and not necessarily have to be accompanied with food.

Forget me not is a non-alcoholic drink which consist of lemon, cranberry and apple. One must order if they don't feel like drinking any alcoholic drinks

[NOMS] The Tuck Shop

I’ve been meaning to go here since June but have been failing so badly since I went to Japan then went back to my home country Jakarta for a while, aka the lack of post, oh that and my modem broke L. Anyway.. back on topic.. Went here awhile ago with my bestfriend for a catch up session since I haven’t seen her for so long, and of course to try out the supposedly amazing food they provide.

Bestfriend and I arrived there around 11.45am, where it’d say we came at the right time, as the clock stroked 12pm the place was a full house. After looking at the menu, we both ordered the Pork Belly and waited around 15 minutes until the food came. Wanted to order some juice but they didn’t provide much choices so.. byebye to that option.

When the food arrived, the portion is decent from the price it was charged at. But little did I know after half way chomping my way through, that the portion is too big for first meal of the day! Though I eventually finished it slowly (don’t like wasting food, especially a yummy one at it!)
